RTCM3

RTCM (Radio Technical Commission For Maritime Services) standard 10403.3 or RTCM3. Most usable differential corrections standard for now days amoung GNSS manufactures and users. Introduction of MSM (Multiple Signal Message) concept withing RTCM3 allowed to do great step forward in multi-system & multi-signal GNSS data representation.


RTCM3 corrections are BINARY. If a file w/ logged RTCM3 correction is opened by NOTEPAD one may see useless binary "garbage".


Binary files, especially huge binary files better to be viwed by some file manager w/ HEX view - for instance, FAR.


Despite its baniry nature, one may find some human-readable text data in RTCM3 log - for instance RTCM3 messages 1007, 1008, 1033 reveal text presentation of base receiver model, antenna etc. For instance, the log showed below is generated by JAVAD TRE_3 DELTA receiver (receiver model is placed in 1033 message).
